Junk Journal Page with Old Book Pages
Lately I’ve fallen in love with junk journaling. I’ve written in journals since I was a kid, yet I just recently started seeing junk journal pages, fauxbonichi journals, and altered books. I have no idea why I never tried it before! It’s so easy, and tons of fun!
I used a regular composition book for my journal and used a glue stick to adhere two pages together (to strengthen them and create a thicker page).
On the left page, I tore up a few pages from an old book and glued them down. I used a foil tape that I purchased at Dollar Tree around the page edges to secure the pieces I glued down. After gluing the torn pages, I added a few stickers and decorative labels. I will probably be writing special quotes in each label.
For the colors, I used Crayola crayons. I used a few neon colors and aquamarine and I colored around the stickers. I was able to blend the colors slightly by using a q-tip and a few drops of baby oil. I learned this technique by watching a few YouTube videos and it works amazing. The important thing is to remember to use stickers and tape before you color because otherwise they won’t stick.
I made sure to leave blank space on the right page so that I’ll have enough room to write. This is one of my first pages in junk journaling, but I’m very happy with how it turned out.
